NECROSIS will bring their 1988 album The Search back to the stage with four of their five original members when The Search Tour 2027 opens at Santiago’s Teatro Cariola on Friday, January 8. DEKAPITED, MASSACRE, METAL HAZARD, MASSIVE POWER and TERROR SOCIETY have joined the bill, placing the returning Chilean thrash band alongside acts from different generations of the national scene.
The announced NECROSIS lineup comprises Andrés “Cabrio” Marchant, Andrés Nacrur, Pepe Nacrur, Comegato and Agustín Marchant. According to the concert announcement, the performance will revisit songs including “Fall in the Last Summer,” “From the Sea” and “Kingdom of Hate,” with The Search serving as the tour’s central focus.
Formed in Santiago in 1986, NECROSIS emerged during the foundational years of Chilean thrash. Their Kingdom of Hate demo followed in 1987, before the release of The Search the next year. The announcement describes the album’s subsequent cult following in South America, providing the historical context for a return built around that material. The band’s five-album studio catalogue also includes Reborn (2009) and Age of Decadence (2015).
The supporting lineup extends that history beyond the headliner. MASSACRE, led by Yanko Tolic, bring more than four decades of activity associated with Chilean metal, while Maipú’s MASSIVE POWER have a career spanning more than 30 years. DEKAPITED will add their aggressive thrash approach to the six-band programme.
METAL HAZARD represent a younger generation on the bill, with performance experience that already includes stages in Finland, Norway and Sweden. TERROR SOCIETY complete the lineup with the raw, direct thrash sound highlighted in the announcement. Together, the guests give the opening show a broader Chilean focus around NECROSIS’s return to their early repertoire.
Chargola Pro is producing the concert. Tickets are available through Passline, with announced prices of $12,000 for the first presale tier, $15,000 for the second, $18,000 on the day of the event and $25,000 for box seating. These prices exclude service charges.
