BOSQUE DE HUALLES will bring their Chilean-Romanian dark folk to Santiago's Teatro Cariola on Friday, October 23, 2026, opening for APOCALYPTICA. The appearance follows the band's latest record, Horas Leves (2026), while the Finnish headliners return with their Plays Metallica Vol. 2 tour, three years after their previous visit.
Active since 2024, BOSQUE DE HUALLES work with acoustic instrumentation and carefully arranged parts, with lyrics exploring nature, melancholy and human emotions. The concert announcement identifies those elements as central to Horas Leves, which will accompany the band's support appearance.
The pairing places two different approaches to acoustic instruments on the same Santiago stage: BOSQUE DE HUALLES' dark folk and APOCALYPTICA's cello interpretations of METALLICA. The opening band's inclusion gives the concert a Chilean connection alongside the visiting Finnish ensemble.
Led by founding cellist Eicca Toppinen, APOCALYPTICA will present Plays Metallica Vol. 2. Joe Barresi, whose production work includes TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and NINE INCH NAILS, produced the album. It features contributions from METALLICA's James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo, extending the relationship between the two bands' recorded work.
APOCALYPTICA's history dates to 1993, when classically trained musicians from Helsinki's Sibelius Academy began exploring METALLICA's repertoire on cellos. Their debut, Plays Metallica by Four Cellos (1996), brought that approach to an international audience and established the basis for a career spanning classical music, rock and metal.
The announcement credits APOCALYPTICA with more than six million records sold. Beyond their work with Hetfield and Trujillo, their collaborations have included Ville Valo of HIM, Till Lindemann of RAMMSTEIN, Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT, former SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE.
Chargola and Power Prods are producing the Teatro Cariola concert. Tickets are available through Passline. The announcement lists prices before service charges of CLP 38,000 for Preventa 1, CLP 42,000 for Preventa 2, CLP 45,000 for the event-day tier and CLP 53,000 for box seating; these are the announced tiers rather than a statement that every category remains available.
