INVOCATION follow their debut with EMBRACE OF THORNS split Invoking the Noumenon / Crushing the Feeble Messianic Embrace

Following their 2024 debut album, Chile's INVOCATION return to the short format with three exclusive new tracks on Invoking the Noumenon / Crushing the Feeble Messianic Embrace. The split mini-album pairs them with Greece's EMBRACE OF THORNS, with six songs spanning 22 minutes.

Iron Bonehead Productions announced an October 30 international release on CD and 12-inch vinyl. The complete recording is streaming through the Death Metal Promotion YouTube channel.

INVOCATION's contribution comprises “Altar of Unseen Prayers,” “Impetuous” and “The Shattered Torch.” It follows The Archaic Sanctuary (Ritual Body Postures), their debut full-length released in 2024 after years of shorter releases. The announcement describes the new material as forceful, haunting black/death metal, emphasizing its sepulchral atmosphere.

EMBRACE OF THORNS bring nearly three decades of blackened, bestial death metal to the other side. Their contribution marks both a reunion with Iron Bonehead and their first recorded work since 2022's Entropy Dynamics. Two aggressive tracks precede a subdued outro that connects the two bands' portions of the record.

The announcement also includes a multilingual passage in Greek, German and Spanish, with imagery of burning candles, melting souls and a pact sealed in dark devotion. Its Spanish text includes “un pacto consumado” and “en nombre de una nueva conciencia.”
